YMCA will host "YMCA healthy Kids Day" April 8 at Manatee County Family YMCA's. This is a national YMCA event held every year to promote healthy lifestyles for families and adults. The event will be held at all three branches in Manatee County: Bradenton Branch, 3805 59th St. W.; Lakewood Branch, 5100 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.; and South Branch, 3675 53rd Ave. E.
A group of U.S. university researchers announced Sunday that they had created cloned pigs that make their own omega-3 fatty acids, potentially leading to bacon and pork chops that might help your heart.
U.S. scientists said on Sunday they had genetically engineered pigs that make beneficial fatty acids and may one day serve as a healthier source of pork chops or bacon.
